TENNIS LEAGUE #2: July 27 - September 14th. Deadline to register July 20th
The purpose of the leagues is to offer a pre-arranged game with fellow players each week. Players rate themselves using rating scales provided. Players should be comfortable playing in a tennis doubles and pickleball game/match with knowledge of the rules, positioning, etc. Players indicate which weeks are not available and then the schedule will be made based on your availability. Then just show up and play! Once the schedule has been sent, the league will run on its own. A great way to meet new players and have a weekly game set up for you!
DAYS and TIMES: Pickleball: Wednesdays 7:00-8:30pm and/or Sundays 4:00-5:30pm
Tennis: Mondays 7:00 – 8:30pm
How do I register? Register before the deadline dates for each league. Contact Betsy
directly by email to betsyracket@verizon.net to receive registration forms and forms must be completed with payment by the deadline in order to be placed in the schedule.

What if something comes up and I cannot play when scheduled? Registered players
are sent an 8 week schedule with their foursomes in advance based on dates available to play. You find your own sub from those marked with an A in their box or on the sub list. The captains nor Betsy is responsible to find substitutes. The matches have been assigned based on levels and please find a sub of appropriate level. Notify your Captain who your sub player will be.
What is the responsibility of the Captain? For each match, there will be a CAPTAIN. This captain will be responsible for contacting the other 3 players at least 4 days ahead to remind/confirm they are scheduled to play, provide the balls and in the event wet conditions, makes the decision and notify all players and try to reschedule the game if possible. Should the match be cancelled for any reason besides rain, please notify Betsy so the court can become available for other members to use.
Is there a fee? The cost for each league is $55.00/member. Non-member fee $75.00. Sub fee; $25.00/member and $35.00/non-member There will be no refund or credit after the schedule has been made. Payment can be made by Zelle to betsyracket@verizon.net, check or cash.
How do I know when and where I am scheduled to play? The schedule will be made and emailed several days prior to the start of each league. For each league, there will be a chart of names and dates. Each box next to your name will be P, C, X or A. You are scheduled to Play, you are the Captain, X not available and Available means you are not scheduled but available to play.
Is this Mixed? Ladies or Men’s Doubles? By level? Foursomes will be different every week, based on who is available. Some days you will play in a mixed group or with fellow ladies/men. Players will be grouped according to level and every effort will be made to place players with different foursomes for each week. Self-rating may be adjusted in comparison to other players. The purpose of this league is to get in new foursomes each week.
How do I know which court? Who will be my partner? The number next to your letter will signify which group and which court. P1 – play on court #1, CP2 – Captain of court #2. Once on the court, you select whom will partner with whom, switch partners after each set, or stay with the same partner – up to you. The aim is to have all play a nice match!
How long do we play for? Do we report the scores? Be prepared to stay for at least two sets and please appear on time for your matches. The court is reserved for 90 minutes and if an open court, you may play longer. The purpose of this league is to have a fun and pre-organized games with new partners – results not important!
